Each year, on the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims, we gather not just to mourn—but to remember, to honor, and to speak the names of those taken by violence. Their lives mattered. Their stories deserve to be told. And their families deserve to be held in love, justice, and unwavering support.

This year’s event, hosted by M.A.R.C.U.S. (Mothers Advocating for Real Change and Unwavering Support), will be a tribute wrapped in Bold Elegance—a visual and emotional experience that blends strength, dignity, and beauty. Our color palette of black, red, and golden yellow will reflect the gravity of loss, the fire of advocacy, and the light of hope.
We are still finalizing the venue, but the spirit of the evening is already clear: We will gather in unity. We will display a memorial video that highlights the lives of our children. We will offer prayers, spoken word, and reflections that speak to the pain—and the power—of remembrance. We will create a space where grieving families feel seen, heard, and embraced.
This is not just an event. It is a promise: That we will never forget. That we will never stop fighting for justice. That we will carry our loved ones forward in everything we do.
